I remember arriving at the pier. I took off my shoes and ran barefeet,
feeling the cold sand slip between my toes. I have an addiction to that feeling.
We walk along the beach. We stop. We lay in the sand, being sand.
When you are used to the heat of the desert,
you know you are far away from home when you see the sea bumping against the coast.
